Botox vs. Filler: Which One Is Right for You?

Many clients come in asking, “Should I get Botox or filler?”

Don’t worry—you’re not alone. It can be confusing! That’s what I’m here for. Let’s break it down for you.

Botox vs. Filler: A Quick Breakdown

Hello, K-beauty enthusiasts!

Sometimes, clients visit me unsure whether they need Botox or filler, and that’s perfectly okay! Let me break it down for you in the simplest way possible.

Botox

Freezes facial muscles to reduce wrinkles caused by movement

Filler

Adds volume to enhance facial shape and plump skin

Hyaluronic acid (gel)

What’s Botox?

Botox is a muscle relaxant designed to smooth out wrinkles caused by facial expressions (think frown lines and crow’s feet). It works by freezing the muscles to prevent them from moving, which in turn softens wrinkles. Results last around 4 to 6 months.

What’s Filler?

Dermal fillers are different—they add volume. Whether it’s plumping up your lips or restoring lost volume in your cheeks, filler uses hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring substance in your skin) to give you that youthful glow. The effects last between 6 months to 2 years, depending on the type and firmness of the filler.

Botox vs. Filler: What’s Right for You?

  • If you want to smooth out wrinkles from facial movements, like forehead lines or crow’s feet, Botox is the go-to.
  • If you’re looking to restore volume to your cheeks, lips, or jawline, filler is what you’re after.

And remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all. A consultation will help us figure out the best approach for you.

Stay radiant and confident!
