Last weekend, I was invited to the 2025 ART Symposium hosted by PharmaResearch—the brand behind Rejuran, one of the most beloved regenerative treatments in Korea.

A Private, Insightful Gathering at the Grand Hyatt
Held over two days at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, this symposium was an intimate event with a selected group of doctors. It allowed for deep discussions, real case sharing, and meaningful networking.

Before diving into science, I kicked off my trip with a delicious dinner at Kauri, enjoying kaisen-don and a citrus monaka dessert. The mood was already off to a great start!

We were greeted with fun activities like a caricature booth and photo zone—my caricature was surprisingly accurate, capturing my wide smile perfectly. (Can’t argue with that!)

Although Rejuran is already well-known for skin regeneration, this symposium presented new perspectives, particularly its role in scar treatment and how different injection methods impact results.

Rethinking Rejuran
Key insights included:
Cannula injections are just as effective as traditional intradermal (embossing) methods for improving hydration and regeneration—sometimes with less pain and downtime.
Cannulas may even be more effective for redness-prone skin.
While surface injections still show benefits in melasma and wrinkle treatment, both methods showed similar results in hydration and healing.

The takeaway?
There’s no one-size-fits-all method. We must choose the right technique based on the patient’s concerns, skin condition, and comfort.
Clinical Tips and Real-World Sharing
One of my favorite moments was listening to plastic surgeons share how they use PN (polynucleotide) in real-world scar treatments. These insights helped me confidently offer Rejuran to patients with post-surgical or atrophic scars.

Also, I’m currently studying placenta extract IV injection after learning about its applications in skin regeneration, immunity, and inflammation control.
It sparked a new academic curiosity!

A Perfect Blend of Learning and Self-Care
After a day full of learning, I treated myself to room service pasta and Netflix for a little staycation.

The Rejuran skincare samples gifted at the event were also a pleasant surprise—hydrating and soothing for my skin.

On Day 2, I enjoyed a quiet breakfast where the hotel staff even brought out fresh berries upon request—a thoughtful gesture that made my morning extra special.

Day 2 was filled with lighter, more relaxed lectures that provided a welcome contrast to the first day’s deep-dive clinical sessions. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect, absorb, and wrap up the experience.

Although I didn’t win the lucky draw for the final day, the warm atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with other physicians made this a truly fulfilling two-day event.

Events like these aren’t just about products or brands. They’re about exchanging real insights and improving how we deliver care. I left feeling energized and more prepared to recommend personalized solutions for each patient.

Because staying updated means offering better, safer, and more effective treatments.
See you in the next post!
