It’s Dr. Soomin here again, and today I’m taking you inside one of my favorite recent experiences—a private makeup class at none other than Cha Hong Ardor Main Branch in Sinsa-dong.

A Class Tailored Just for Me

The session was led by Lead Artist Miseong Lee, and I loved how personalized the whole experience felt.

Before the class, I completed a short survey about my makeup habits and the kind of look I wanted to explore. When I arrived, the team first looked at my usual makeup (I came in with my regular routine on!) to understand my current style and preferences.

They even did a full cleansing for me—so I could just sit back and enjoy without worrying about removing my makeup beforehand.

Bonus: Personal Color Analysis & Session Notes

The class also included a personal color analysis, which helped explain why certain colors work better on me than others. For the price, it was seriously such a valuable add-on.

Even better—while I was fully focused on the lesson, the assistant took detailed notes for me.

So afterward, I left with a neat summary of all the tips, techniques, and product recommendations. Super helpful for reviewing and practicing at home.

From Daily Look to Night Out Vibes

For this first class, I chose to learn a daily makeup look that suits both clinic and casual outings. It was subtle, polished, and fresh.

One of the most eye-opening moments?

Finding out that some of the foundation and eyeshadow shades I regularly used didn’t actually match my skin tone. The artist recommended alternatives that really enhanced my natural features—what a difference!
